Question 1 :Does a User Have the Super User Right After Logging In from the Console Port?

Answer 1 :By default, a user that logs in to the switch from the console port has the super user right, which is the highest user right in the system.

If the user configures local authentication and sets a lower user level after logging in from the console port, the user only has the right of the lower user level. If no super user password is configured, the user can run the super command to switch to the super user. If the super user password is configured, the super command does not take effect.

Question 2 : How to Increase the Level of Commands in Different Views?

Answer 2 : By default, a switch has four user levels, ranging from 0 to 3. To increase the level of a command in a view, run the command-privilege level command.

For example, a level 3 user can use the delete or format command in the user view to delete the startup file or format the storage device that saves the startup file. To increase the level of the delete and format commands, create a user account of a higher level and run the following commands:

A command-privilege level 15 view shell delete

Only level 15 users can use the commands starting with delete in the user view (shell).

B command-privilege level 15 view shell format

Only level 15 users can use the commands starting with format in the user view (shell).

Question 3 : How to Repair a Storage Device Where an Exception Occurred?

Answer 3 : Run the fixdisk device-name command to repair the storage device.

The dir command displays information about the specified file or directory on the device. If the command output contains unknown, for example, 30,000 KB total (672 KB free, 25,560 KB used, 3,616 KB unknown), run the fixdisk device-name command to free the space occupied by an unknown application.

The command is not recommended when the system works properly. This command cannot rectify device-level faults.

Question 1 : How to Delete the Files in the Recycle Bin?

Answer 1 : Using the reset recycle-bin [ filename ] command, you can delete the files in the recycle bin. The files in the recycle bin cannot be restored after being deleted.

Question 2 : Does the Switch Support the Remote Upgrade of the BootROM?

Answer 2 : The switch supports the remote upgrade of the BootROM.

Log in to the switch where the BootROM needs to be upgraded through Telnet, and then run the upgrade basic-bootrom system-filename command in the system view to upgrade the BootROM.

Question 3 : What Is the Default BootROM Password of the Switch ?

Answer 3 : When the system starts the BootROM, press Ctrl+B within two seconds and then enter the default password to enter the BootROM menu. In versions earlier than V200R001, the default

password is huawei. In V200R001 and later versions, the default password is

Admin@huawei.com.

Question 4 :How to Delete the Configuration Information from the Running Configuration File？

Answer 4 : You can run the reset saved-configuration command in the user view to delete user configuration information from the running configuration file of the switch. After the device restarts, the factory configuration is restored.

Usually, the reset saved-configuration command is used in the following scenarios:

When a configured Switch is applied to a new environment, the original configuration file may fail to adapt to the new environment. In this case, you need to run the reset saved-configuration command to delete the original configuration file and then reconfigure the Huawei Switch.
